My experience at Dr. Gases office turn out great. I appreciate that they were very considerate and willing to hear my dental problems. The staff (Veronica, financial manager) were exceptionally helpful because I need to not only rely on them but I needed to visit a dental surgeon. It all went well and my smile is as good, if not better than before.

Must say after searching a long time I finally found a good dentist. He is very gentle when he works and breaks everything down to ensure that you understand what is going on. His assistants are all amazing and the secretary’s and finance people work with you. I would recommend him to everyone I know.

Revolutionary Same-Day Technology

Dentist explaining CAD/CAM technology to patient

Crowns Made Easy

Patients of our Cincinnati office now have the option of same-day dental treatment with computer-aided-design and -manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology. This revolutionary design and production tool allows us to craft your custom crown in just one day. We start by taking detailed digital scans of your smile and making a blueprint of your restoration.

Next, the designs are sent to the milling machine, where your crown is crafted to exact specifications using porcelain ceramic. It will be ready that same day, allowing you to avoid the inconvenience and hassle of a temporary crown and multiple appointments. Ask our dentist about same-day crowns at your next appointment.

You may be a better candidate for a traditional crown.

A Closer Look at Traditional Crown Treatment

The procedure for a traditional crown is usually divided between two appointments.
The procedure for a traditional crown is usually divided between two appointments.

Tooth Prep

During your first appointment, Dr. Gase will address the source of your tooth problem. This usually involves cleaning out decay or a full root canal. We administer a local anesthetic to help you remain comfortable and then remove the bacterial infection and decayed tissue. Once the tooth is sterilized, we reshape the outer surface to make room for your crown.

Impressions/ Temporary Crown

At this same visit, we take impressions of your teeth to send to our trusted dental lab. The lab technicians have special training in handling restorations made from porcelain and specialty materials. In the meantime, our dentist will provide you with a temporary crown to protect your tooth until your next appointment.

Restoration

In about two weeks, your permanent crown will be ready and you can return to the office for your second session. After we remove the temporary crown and clean your teeth, we will inspect the lab-made restoration to ensure the optimal fit. Finally, our dentist attaches the permanent crown with a durable bonding agent, and your treatment is complete.

What If I Am Missing a Tooth? Consider an Implant-Supported Crown

If you are already missing a tooth or need to get your tooth extracted, dental implants are one of the best options in restorative dentistry. While getting an implant-supported crown does require more time than a dental bridge, the long-term advantages are undeniable.

A dental implant will provide the most stable, long-lasting foundation for your porcelain prosthetic while also improving your oral health. Ask the dentist if an implant-supported crown and help you, and read more about the treatment on our website.
